My Name is Khan ... A Review

My Name is Khan is released all over the world on 12 th feb 2010 and is running successfully inspite of many controversies.  King Khan arrives at theatres with a bang this Friday with his much waited flick My Name is Khan. In the movie Shah Rukh and Kajol pair up after almost eight years to give audiences a look at their favorite onscreen couple. Shah Rukh’s performance as the Asperger Syndrome affected Rizwan Khan is superlative and Kajol as Mandira is entertaining. The movie takes you from India all the way to US where Rizwan shifts base to move in with his younger sibling. While at work in US he crosses path with Mandira who is raising a son all by herself. The two tie the knot and start a new life together on a happy note. But, happiness is short lived as they are caught in the post 9/11 racial attacks. Life takes a sour turn between the two and Rizwan is forced to leave Mandira. Thus begins the quest and a journey across the US to regain lost love. SRK’s performance is moving and movie blends the emotions of glee, grief, tribulations in a great way. Karan Johar does feel it is the best among all the movies he has made so far. The movie is a decent one and worth the watch.
My Name Is Khan earned Rs 850 million worldwide in opening weekend. It $1.86 million in North America and  smashes records worldwide and also  receiving tremendous response in Berlin. On the whole, MY NAME IS KHAN is a fascinating love story, has an angle of religion and a world-shaking incident as a backdrop. It not only entertains, but also mesmerises, enthrals and captivates the viewer in those 2.40 hours.
